Step1: Frame & Backplate Process


Edge-lit : Attach shock-absorbing strips and light-blocking tape to the plastic frame.  Apply thermal conductive strips, lamp strips and position-limiting adhesive on the metal backplate edge, and secure the wiring.


Direct-lit : Attach shock absorption strips and light-blocking tape to the plastic frame. Apply thermal conductive strips on the metal backplate.  Lay the reflective LED light board flat and press it onto the backplate.  Install white plastic support pillars into the holes of the backplate, and ensure they are fully clipped in without loosening.


Step2: Films Process


Edge-lit : Place the reflector sheet, light guide plate and diffuser sheet in sequence. Apply light-blocking tape and composite film, attach OC positioning adhesive, then install the plastic frame.


Direct-lit : Place the diffuser plate, diffuser sheet and composite film inside the back frame in order. Secure the films with tape, apply positioning adhesive, then install the plastic frame.


Why different? For edge-lit , a light guide plate and reflector sheet are used to convert side light sources into surface light sources. 

For direct-lit , point light sources tend to cause lamp shadows and bright spots. Two layers of diffusers are adopted to evenly distribute light, eliminate graininess, spots and shadows, and soften the light.
